this kind of thing REALLY makes me proud to write these articles.
This helps the community and a really good cause as well.

The Nikki Mitchell Foundation (NMF) is dedicated to seeking and supporting the
most breakthrough data available for the early detection and cure of pancreatic cancer.
Not tied to any one hospital, the NMF will support the most promising research with a

The Nikki Mitchell Foundation has strong musical roots, raising funds and
awareness through events such as the Full Moon Full Life concert series.
Full Moon Full Life was created by our namesake in 2010, attracting thousands
to the concert outside Nashville, Tennessee. The original artist line-up consisted
of Waylon Jenning’s band, Jessi Colter, and Jamey Johnson. Since then, new artists
have been added every year. The series now takes place in Austin, Texas and Nashville,

Holly Williams Expecting First Child

News  Comments Off on Holly Williams Expecting First Child

Not a lot of media outlets inform us about Holly Williams and I
learned about her announcement today while scouring through
pages of news.

Holly Williams and husband Chris Coleman have announced their
first child.
They have been married since 2009 and at 33 she will still
tour to support her third album, which in my opinion was
BY FAR her best!

Her husband Chris Coleman is a member of the rock band
Kings Of Leon, and both are traveling almost non-stop.

She announced the birth VIA social media on Mother’s Day
when she accidentally revealed what they call a “baby bump”.
And it’s reported she knows the baby’s sex but is not revealing it
to the public as yet.

She plans to continue her announced play dates for 2014 until
otherwise announcing cancellations.

My fine friends over at Exit/In have announced that they are presenting Scott H. Biram AKA “The Dirty Ol’ One Man Band”.
July 1st at 8:00 although no opening acts have been yet reported to me.

Biram has been on tour non stop both in America AND overseas in support of his
new album “Nothin But Blood” out on Bloodshot Records.

He was also the main feature for 2014 Moonrunners indoor music festival
for Outlaw Radio.
I also haven’t been given specifics of pre-sale tickets yet and when I do
find one I’ll post the link up.

The Exit/In is one of my favorite places in Nashville to go see a show
plenty of places to eat first and kill some time before the show.
And if it ends early enough there’s always the Commodore Lounge for

Folks I’ll be honest I wanted to do a write up of their show when they opened
for the Goddamn Gallows earlier in April.
I’ll be honest…I LOST the damn notes! They got buried beneath piles
of backed up stuff in my office.
I am usually real organized but I been dealing with some personal
issues and right now I’m a mess!
So I’ll kind of do BOTH right here for my MCP buddies. They are all such
a good bunch of guys to me!

The Whiskey Hill Swillers are a “Outlaw Country with a punk rock twist on Bluegrass gear”.
And also stringband influences as well, they did a 6 or 7 song set that night.

I remember them doing a song called “Whiskey Calling” and another called “What Went Wrong”.
And they have several on Reverbnation as well. They also did one called “Dark” AKA
“My Days Are Dark”.

They were formed here in Nashville in 2013 and consist of five members
Spooks sings and plays acoustic
Chris Warrick Plays guitar
John Hog Luvdog on Bass
D.B. Swiller on Banjo

O’l Hog is the center of attention during several Gallows shows because Avery
loves to practice pulling teeth on him!
He’s done it twice now and this second time went MUCH MORE smooth than the first!
Umm….the first was gross.

These guys do shows for the community, as for the second year running
they did some benefit work for LiL Ham Jam which benefits the Little
Hamilton area of east Nashville. They play and drink beer and clean up
the community area.
Gives people a nice place to enjoy life. And BY GOD we need that within
the music community.

In the future I will do some more features on these guys for you.
You know you can pick and choose what you like I’ll feature it ALL
and let YOU decide.
