4848 Festival returns in July 2022

We want to thank those of you who have previously joined us at Snowshoe for 4848 and invite those of you who have yet to check us out.

Next year, All Good Presents will host 4848 Festival on July 7, 8 and 9, 2022.

My dear friends, it is becoming that time of the year when I am working into what I call the “‘year end transition period” of one year into the next. I have so many wonderful festivals that are announcing 2022 dates, and I will indeed feature every one of them for you on here. I get overly excited to feature all of the many bands that are involved in the lineups, and all of the fantastic venues.

This festival is also added to my extensive list of 2022 dates that you can read HERE. Also, this article will always be getting updated throughout the year in many ways, and will soon contain a plethora of information for you if you decide to go for the first time, or if you attended the first one.

4848 ‘Get Your Funk On’ Late Nights

Join us for the migration from the Sky Stage to the Village Stage to keep the party
going at 4848. Every year we choose the acts that will keep us dancing past the
midnight hour in one of the most epic spaces for an outdoor concert ever, The Village at Snowshoe Mountain Resort.

Get Your Funk On this year with Andy Frasco & The UN and the newly
added Dumpstaphunk filling in the late-night slots at the Village Stage.

Mornings at 4848 feet are refreshing to say the least. Ask anyone who’s joined us previously, there is a certain stillness of the mountain air as the sun rises that just doesn’t come with the typical festival experience.

When you wake up each morning at 4848 Festival, there’s plenty to take in at the resort before the music kicks off on the main stages.

Take a Scenic Lift Ride down to the the Boat House, sit on the deck and check out the Acoustic Sets while you sip on a cocktail from the Bloody Mary bar. Steps away is Shavers Lake. Enjoy the Beachfront with chairs and umbrellas, cool off in the Lake, and bring your inner child to the Inflatable Water Park. Get out on the water on a Paddleboat, Canoe or Kayak, or Go For A Hike and explore some of the 11,000 acres on The Mountain.

Up in the Village, relax by the Split Rock Pools or try out the Rock Climbing Wall! Other activities include mountain biking, golfing, the Fairy Diddle Disc Golf Course and shopping at the resort and vendor village.

4848 Welcomes Dumpstaphunk!

We are excited to announce the addition of Dumpstaphunk to the 4848 Festival
2022 lineup! Bringing the funk straight out of New Orleans, they will deliver that deep, girtty groove that will dare you not to move.

Dumpstaphunk will be taking the place of Karl Denson’s Tiny Universe, who will no longer be able to make it due to a scheduling conflict

Village Room Packages will move fast and we politely suggest that you do your homework! Familiarize yourself with the various options found here on the 4848 Festival Lodging page. Get with your friends and decide how many of you will be sharing a space and what type of package will work best for your group. You may want to pick your 1st, 2nd and 3rd room package choices. If you’re not familiar with Snowshoe, the resort village sits at the summit of the mountain, hosts the 4848 Festival concert grounds and boasts incredible views in every direction from 4,848 feet.

Pitch Your Tent at 4848 Base Camp!

If you know, you know about the Base Camp at 4848 Festival! Nestled at the base of the ski slopes next to Shavers Lake, 4848 Base Camp touts luscious green grass and shade for days beneath the trees that fill the mountain base.

Enjoy easy access to Shavers Lake Beach and watersport activities (included with your Camping Festival Ticket!) like kayaking, paddleboats, lake-side hammocks and more!

Also just steps away from the Boathouse, where you can catch the first sets of the day on Friday and Saturday while you grab a Bloody Mary and get your day started the 4848 way!

When it’s time to venture to the Village, just jump on the lift and elevate yourself up to 4848 feet and take in the views along the way.

Bring your tent, your friends and get ready for a beautiful weekend nestled in the mountains of West Virginia.

Base-Camp Host stationed near the Boat House.
Freedom to enjoy Wild & Wonderful WV with immediate access to Shavers Lake and activities including; swimming, paddle boats, canoes, kayaks, hiking trails, beach and lake-side hammocks.
Relish in the beauty of the lake and the mountains, while enjoying acoustic sets at the Boat House from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm on Friday & Saturday.
Access to potable water, flushable toilets and camp showers.
Lush camping with ideal temperatures for September averaging a highs in upper 70s and lows in the mid 50s.
Both mountain and lakeside Base-Camping available.
Enjoy the freedom of choosing your campsite and camping with your friends. Group campsites encouraged!
The Boat House will serve food and drinks on a lake-side deck and 4848 food vendors will provide a variety of delicious options as well.

Know Before You Go

Individual Festival Camping Ticket required to set up in 4848 Base-Camp
Complimentary Ski-Lift and Festival Express Shuttles to get you to and from the Mountaintop Village Festivities (music starts at 2:00pm on Fri and Sat) and will operate from 8:00 am until the music ends.
Primitive Tent Camping Only
Vehicle parking is a short walk to the camping area. Please carpool
Camping is within a 5 to 10 minute walk to the Boat House, beach and also to the lift that will propel you to the Mountaintop Village Experience
Enclosed propane grills are allowed for cooking only
Generators and camp-fires are not permitted!
You will not be permitted to drive your personal vehicle to and from the 4848 Festival Venue.
Once your car is parked, it needs to remain parked for the duration of the event.
