At 74 the the man we know as “The Killer” Jerry Lee Lewis is still knocking crowds dead all across the U.S.
Lewis is the last of the Sun Reocrds family discovered in the 1950’s
by Sam phillips which included the likes of Elvis Presely and Johnny Cash,Roy Orbison and Carl Perkins.Which is why to me personally he is a vital piece of music history.
Yet his face is youthfull..not the battle scarred war zone of wrinkles that the likes of Keith Richards wear.And those long fingers,still fully capable of playing the piano like only Jerry Lee Lewis can.
His 2006 album “Last Man Standing” featured many guests as duet partners.Well,many of those guests are BACK in 2010 to be released on Shangri-La label in june. The first single “mean old man” is now on the internet.His FIRST country album in almost 40 years!
.A third album will follow nine months later.
He is playing a limited amount of shows in 2010 due to age and health
but I guarantee if you go see him like I have you will NOT be dissapointed with his performance.He STILL plays country and rock and roll like noone else can.
