Garyhayescountry.com has learned this morning that the Country Music Hall Of Fame has announced that a Tammy Wynette exhibit will soon be added to the museum.

This exhibit is being presented and genrously brought to us by Geroge Richey her widower and miss Wanda Williams co-trustee of her estate. It is scheduled to be fully operational before the end of 2010.

Among the many items on display for us to enjoy are 14 stage costumes including the famed red and gold jacket she performed
“Stand By Your Man” with Lyle Lovett on the Tonight Show in 1993.
2 Grammys one for “Stand By Your Man” in 1969 written by Billy Sherrill (who was inducted this year),and one for “I Dont Wanna Play House” also written by Billy Sherrill. 2 CMA and ACM awards for Female Vocalist Of The Year in 1968 and 1969,and countless letters and photos and autographs by presidents Ford,Reagen and Bush.
Also on display is the coveted autogprah from Elton John which reads “the Queen of Country meets the Queen of England”.

Tammy Wynette passed away in 1998 the same year she was inducted. For further information,hours of operation and entry fees go to Country Music Hall Of Fame.
