Country Music Legend Mr. Bill Anderson Invades Waffle House And Releases His 72nd Album.

BA 1Bill Anderson, Kid Rock, Tanya Tucker, Jeannie Seely, Gretchen Wilso

Folks before I simply repost the media release for this music I wanted to write some of my own portion of this article as well . Country Music Legend Mr. Bill Anderson has maintained himself as a staple member of the Opry, and one of Country Music’s most acclaimed songwriters.

I’m not really hip on Kid Rock’s music, in fact it makes me want to vomit. But to publicly lambast him on my website as a person couldn’t be further from the truth, he is a class act person. I believe he does indeed uphold Country Music traditions in some of the things he does. Although that’s just an opinion from an outsider looking in.

I wanted to say a few things about a young lady that I am watching on the local scene with great regard, and that is Miss Erin Enderline. She also holds a HUGE reverence for Country Music as well, and when she sings her stories one can easily ascertain that she LOVES what she does.

Bill Anderson’s clever new holiday music video, “Waffle House Christmas,” features a cast of characters only Anderson could corral into a Waffle House. The music video, premiering on USATODAY.com, tells the story of a family whose Christmas dinner goes awry so they head to their nearest Waffle House for a family feast where some of music’s most notable personalities fill the restaurant.

“The offer of ‘food and fun’ was all it took to entice Kid Rock, Tanya Tucker, Gretchen Wilson, Jeannie Seely, Joe Denim and a Waffle House restaurant full of ‘brand new friends’ to join us for the recent filming of our new video, “Waffle House Christmas,” Anderson shares. “We dined on Waffle House staples…’grits and eggs and raisin bread’ along with ‘hash browns covered and smothered’….and we laughed ourselves silly portraying the take-over of a Waffle House restaurant by a rookie cook and a displaced family on Christmas Day. My thanks to everyone involved. I just hope you will enjoy watching the madness as much as we enjoyed creating it.”

BA 2Waffle House Christmas” is off Anderson’s latest release, Anderson, which marked his 72nd album release.

“I’ve never had this much fun at a Waffle House! Bill Anderson is one of my heroes and he’s written some of the greatest songs of all time. Of course, only he could come up with such a clever song like ‘Waffle House Christmas!’ And we had such a blast behind the scenes with Kid Rock, Gretchen Wilson and Jeannie Seely,” Tanya Tucker added.

“I am so grateful that I was asked to be involved in something like this. I’ve been such a fan of Bill Anderson for so long. And I get to hang out with my heroes!  I also had a Waffle House uniform in my closet from a television special we did several years ago, so it’s been a lot of fun being part of this music video,” said Gretchen Wilson.

“This has been an amazing experience!” exclaimed Jeannie Seely. “Bill Anderson is always coming up with great ideas. And corralling me, Tanya, Gretchen and Kid Rock all together for a music video at Waffle House has got to be one of the silliest, most fun things I’ve done in a long time!”

BA 3Anderson was produced by Bill Anderson, Thomm Jutz and Peter Cooper, recorded and mixed by Jutz at TJ Tunes with assistant engineer Andy Kern and mastered by Alex Mccullough at True East Mastering. Three of the tracks were penned solely by Anderson, who has written charted songs in each of the past seven consecutive decades, while the additional tracks feature venerable singer-songwriters including John Paul White of The Civil Wars and country music outlaw Jamey Johnson. 1 Night 1 Place 1 Time: A Tribute To Randy Travis.

These past few years have been quite turbulent for Country Legend Randy Travis, but also have been very positive and touching. You truly find out who your friends are when you are down and out and honestly in the past few years Randy Travis has indeed discovered who his true allies were. Turns out just about 90 percent of the entire music community has rallied together in the past few months to honor him in many ways, one being inducted into the Country Music Hall Of Fame last year. During the award ceremony he stunned the entire music industry by singing “Amazing Grace”.

He was told he would never walk again let along perform and nobody is saying he will ever perform a full show ever again, but if this isn’t a miracle recovery from God I am left in a quandary of what is. It was rumored that the stroke he suffered was brought on by personal demons and that rumor was squelched by medical staff.

Now his friends and people whom idolize him will gather together at the Bridgestone arena in Nashville for a tribute concert for him. Tickets for Travis’ tribute concert go on sale 11 a.m. Friday at the Bridgestone Arena Box Office and through Ticketmaster, 1-800-745-3000 or ticketmaster.com. A portion of the proceeds will go to the Randy Travis Foundation, a 501(c)3 non-profit that raises money for stroke research and rehabilitation.

1 Night. 1 Place. 1 Time: A Heroes & Friends Tribute to Randy Travis is Feb. 8 and will feature performances from Alabama, Kenny Rogers, Rodney Atkins, Chris Janson, Jamey Johnson, Montgomery Gentry, Michael Ray, Ricky Skaggs, Michael W. Smith, The Randy Travis Band, Tanya Tucker, Josh Turner Wynonna Judd, Jeff Foxworthy, Alison Krauss, Ben Haggard, Neal McCoy and Phil Vassar will all perform throughout the evening which will consist of a variety of songs, including Travis’ iconic hits.

More include Travis Tritt, Kane Brown, James Dupre, Scotty McCreery, Joe Nichols, Collin Raye and the Bellamy Brothers also will be on hand to entertain the crowd that night. Now as most of you know the currently retired Kenny Rogers will be performing that night as well as Tanya Tucker and many many more. This will indeed be a stellar lineup for a wonderful cause.

At the age of 57 Randy Travis has recorded twenty studio albums and has charted more than 55 songs sixteen of them were number one hits. Randy Travis entered into the market with “Storms Of Life” during a mainstream market saturated with pop country but Randy persevered and actually assisted in ushering in Traditional sounding Country the likes of Alan Jackson.

However in the 1990’s even the pop country began to change direction and he could not coexist with those changes. He then decided to focus more on Gospel music and had one chart success with “Three Wooden Crosses”. He went on to pursue acting and television shows including the iconic film “Black Dog”. He has sold over 25 million records and 22 number one hits. Six number one albums and six Grammy awards and CMA awards.  And on Feb 4rth he will receive love from his peers and will be reminded how much we love and treasure him.
