I have featured a lot of work on all of Nashville’s many museums that have popped up around the downtown area. In the 80s many of the stars like Mr. Conway Twitty and Hank Williams Jr. both had museums on the demonbreun area, when the Hall Of Fame was over there.
If it were up to me, I would frequent museums every weekend and carefully go through each and every piece in every room. It is my life goal to further edify myself with history, and to raise my daughter to be a future Country Music fan through museums and to inculcate the fact that music IS TANGIBLE. When she buys CD’s it makes me a proud father.
My entire house is made up of music memorabilia and vinyl and CD’s of all types, and my head is full of dates, and names of history’s past. Everybody has something they are good at and mine has always been music history. Even though I am going to include the press release at the bottom of the article here, this museum opened in early February of 2020, and I have not had the opportunity to get there yet.
In the past, I have indeed always been an ardent connoisseur of Country Music’s many different eras of time and style. I adored the Bakersfield movement and all of the many obscure musicians involved with the Outlaw Era, all the way down to the Nashville Sound..where this man would be found..Mr. Glen Campbell.
Downtown Nashville will soon be home to The Glen Campbell Museum and Rhinestone Stage, Clearbrook Hospitality, LLC – a subsidiary of Clearbrook Holdings Corp, has announced today. Guests will experience a multitude of immersive, interactive displays showcasing different stages of Glen’s life and extraordinary career as a studio musician in The Wrecking Crew (Elvis Presley, Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, The Beach Boys and others), the singer of many hit records (“Gentle On My Mind,” “By The Time I Get To Phoenix,” “Wichita Lineman,” “Galveston,” “Rhinestone Cowboy” and “Southern Nights”) and as a star of television and film (The Glen Campbell Goodtime Hour, True Grit, I’ll Be Me).
Located at the corner of Broadway and 2nd Avenue, The Glen Campbell Museum will feature more than four thousand square feet of never-before-seen artifacts from his early years on the farm in Arkansas through his climb to super-stardom, including many of Glen’s legendary guitars and instruments, his extensive collection of golf paraphernalia, and intimate family photos as well as stage worn clothing and much more.
In the evenings, the museum will transform into The Rhinestone Stage – a live music venue. The Rhinestone Stage will be “The Gem of Lower Broadway” where national and local touring acts can host intimate performances in an entirely unique environment.
The Glen Campbell Museum and Rhinestone Stage is slated to open early 2020. Details will be announced throughout the remainder of the year as construction progresses. The Grand Opening will be a star-studded event, with performances by various celebrity friends of the late Glen Campbell and the Campbell family.
