My dear friends I am elated right now, because I have been given the blessed opportunity to tell all of my local friends that the Legendary Oak Ridge Boys will be performing here in Springfield Tennessee, at the Robertson County fairgrounds on July 3rd for a FREE SHOW!

Back in June of last year, they released their 32nd album ( not counting their early Gospel albums from the early 50’s, the 60’s and early 70’s ) produced by Mr. Dave Cobb, called “Front Porch Singin”. This album release then culminated into a huge tour which included many amphitheater appearances and Opry performances, including the one I’m telling you about.

As they celebrate 40 years of the album “Fancy Free”, which contains the mega hit song “Elvira”, they celebrate the life of it’s writer Mr. Dallas Frazier who we lost in January of this year. Their current set list includes many songs from that album as well as the staple songs they usually do live.

This band has been a Legendary staple in my life for many decades, and I have so many splendid memories of their music and live shows in my life. All four of these guys have given Country Music so many years of dedication and upholding the traditions of the genre, while maintaining a positive relevance in an ever changing market.

This event will be taking place July 3rd at the Robertson County Fairgrounds and provide a wonderful boost to the economy in my general area. This entire outdoor event has attractions for all ages, and pretty much anybody will be having a blessed time there….please join me!
