29th Annual

Aug 5-9, 2026

Welcome to Connecticut’s only multi-day bluegrass festival, set in the scenic hills of Litchfield County, CT. Podunk transforms Goshen into a lively celebration of bluegrass music and community. From seasoned bluegrass veterans to emerging talents, the festival promises a weekend filled with stellar performances, jam sessions, kids activities, round the clock field pickin’ and the warm camaraderie of a community brought together by a shared love for this timeless genre….

that is what their web page says at least. I look deeply into all of the many festivals that we here support, and I see many positive things that this one does for it’s economy of the area. See, many websites think that featuring small local and family fun festivals is a waste of time. They want to talk about the same old stuff which is GREAT. We report on them also. However we fully support the “small folks”.

In the next few weeks, we will be looking into more about the artists on this roster and I will feature the ones I find on here that I like. One day soon when I retire, folks I will indeed travel all over and go to a bunch of festivals that I have supported for years now.
