    This past Friday night (February 1st, 2019) Sarah Shook’s current tour with The Disarmers rolled into Valdosta, GA at Ashley Street Station.  There was no opening act for this evening so the band played 2 sets that spanned 26 songs.  The evening covered tracks from Sarah Shook’s entire career, even with some from the album Seven by Sarah Shook & The Devil.<\/p>\n

    Sarah Shook & The Disarmers<\/strong><\/p>\n

    The night started with fan favorite “Good As Gold” off her new album Years which was one of my favorite records of 2018.  She quickly followed it up with “Lesson” and “Parting Words” from the same record.  The band then switched gears and went into a couple of songs from Sidelong with “Heal Me” and “Fuck Up” which is always a crowd favorite.<\/p>\n

    Sarah Shook & The Disarmers even went into deeper album cuts such as Sidelong’s “Make It Up To Mama” and “Road That Leads To You”.  The band even got to one of my deeper favorites
    \n“Nothin’ Feels Right But Doin’ Wrong” off that first album.  They finished up the second set with newer tracks “The Way She Looked At You” and “Devil May Care” which were cut from the Years album but released as a single later on.<\/p>\n

    The band’s second set was loaded with fan favorites.  They kicked it off with “No Name” off Sidelong and eventually made their way to “Dwight Yoakam” off the same album which is one of my favorites from the group.  The second set also included it’s share of deeper cuts with “Misery Without Company” from Sidelong and “Ghost Town” from Seven.  The band closed out the evening with a trio of tracks from Years with “The Bottle Never Let Me Down”, “Damned If I Do, Damned If I Don’t” and “New Ways To Fail” before finishing up with “The Nail” from Sidelong.<\/p>\n

    Whether you are a fan of Sarah Shook & The Disarmers or just discovering them, you got your money’s worth with this one.  Sarah Shook blasted through 26 tracks covering mostly everything you would want to hear and then some.  The band just finished up this round of tour dates that took them from Tennessee to Texas to Florida and back through Georgia.  She is always on tour and you can check out future tour dates at this link.<\/a>  Gary Hayes Country will be covering Sarah Shook & The Disarmers again this year at Tumbleweed Country Music Festival which has tickets available now.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
