If you like your southern rock a little on the psychedelic side, then Chris Robinson Brotherhood is a band for you. Servants Of The Sun is the band\u2019s first full length studio album following 2017\u2019s Barefoot In The Head. As a side note, this is the band\u2019s last album with long time keyboardist Adam MacDougall.  He left the band after it\u2019s recording. This album in general is upbeat, funky and it feels like a good road trip record.<\/span>

\n<\/span>The record kicks off with \u201cSome Earthly Delights\u201d which features a nice keyboard riff in the opening moments.  It really sets the tone and lets you know what you\u2019re in for here. I also dig \u201cVenus In Chrome\u201d which is another upbeat track that features some nice playing.  The solo that starts about 4 minutes in is a great example of the jamming this band can do. One of the early singles was the catchy \u201cComin\u2019 Round The Mountain\u201d and it\u2019s the perfect road trip tune.  Finally, I really dig the slower number \u201cDice Game\u201d. This track has great guitar work and songwriting. It\u2019s a nice change of pace from the rest of the album.<\/span><\/p>\n

I highly recommend checking out Servants Of The Sun if you\u2019re into trippy southern rock.  This album has everything you look for in a good jam band record. I hope to be able to see some of these tracks live in the future.  Servants Of The Sun is out everywhere as of June 14th, 2019.<\/span><\/p>\n
