This new record Here \u2018Tis is actually my first experience listening to Eleven Hundred Springs.  This band has been around the Texas scene since 1998 and has released more than 10 records at this point.  Eleven Hundred Springs come across as a true country band. Everything you\u2019d ask for is here from fiddle to pedal steel and some really good song writing from Matt Hillyer and company.<\/span><\/p>\n

I dig the acoustic guitar lick that opens up \u201cMiles Apart\u201d.  From there, the track settles into a groove that is funky and smooth at the same time.  I dig the solo work on this track as well. Moving on, \u201cLet\u2019s Move Out To The Country\u201d picks up the pace a bit on a track that has the classic theme of a country boy looking to get out of the city.  I love the dueling fiddle and pedal steel solo on this one. Some good stuff here.<\/span><\/p>\n

Probably my favorite track on this record is \u201cThe Song You\u2019ll Never Hear\u201d.  It\u2019s about those alone and quiet moments and the song we only have for us. This isn\u2019t a topic you see often in music and I\u2019m liking it here.  Finally, \u201cLet Me Be Your Man\u201d is a great up tempo track that starts off with some good fiddling and never lets up. As with the rest of the record, the solo work here is phenomenal and you get solos from electric guitar, pedal steel guitar and fiddle on this one.<\/span><\/p>\n

Eleven Hundred Springs is a long running country band out of Texas that is known for quality country music and this album does not disappoint.  The musicianship is stellar throughout this record as is the songwriting. I don\u2019t know if this band ever tours the southeast, but I would love to see them live at some point.  In the meantime, you should give Here \u2018Tis and the rest of their discography a chance if you\u2019re like me and are just getting into this band. Here \u2018Tis is out everywhere you can find good music as of Friday January 17th, 2020.<\/span><\/p>\n
