I’ll admit I’m pretty late to the party on this one, and four other articles I am working on today. Well, I guess I just have too many irons in too many fires….but WHO DOESN’T? I mean with so much good music out there, the possibilities are endless on who and what to report on.<\/p>\n

Last year Mr. Tyler Childers was at Red Rocks Ampitheater and my staff member Mr. Luther was there you can read about that right here<\/a>. I wrote another good one about the phenomenon that he is in the music business today here is that article<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Town Mountain<\/a>is an absolute BANGIN Bluegrass band with an energetic stage show that has been lighting up the road all over America. Their set at Kickin It On the Creek<\/a> was one of the best of the entire weekend, and recently they released a new video for the song “Down Low”.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

December 11, 2019 \u2013 Nashville, TN \u2013 Known for their rowdy, energetic performances,Town Mountain<\/a> has spent most of 2019 on the road, playing major festivals and venues across the country, including the legendary Grand Ole Opry. On September 30, the band made their debut at the iconic Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, Colorado, to a sold-out crowd alongside prolific singer-songwriter Robert Earl Keen and Grammy-nominee Tyler Childers. Today, JamBase<\/a>premiered the band\u2019s live performance of \u201cDown Low\u201d featuring Childers, who co-wrote the duet with banjo player and vocalist Jesse Langlais for Town Mountain\u2019s most recent album, New Freedom Blues. \u201cIt\u2019s always a pleasure to do shows with Tyler and The Food Stamps,\u201d Langlais explains. \u201cWe love the guys and we love the music, brothers in arms! And it\u2019s always a highlight when Tyler comes up with us and performs ‘Down Low’. Especially at a venue like Red Rocks where you can just feel the energy and magic in the air.\u201d<\/div>\n

The band played a number of songs from their extensive discography including their well-known rendition of Bruce Springsteen\u2019s 1984 single \u201cI\u2019m On Fire<\/a>\u201d, a fan-favorite that has racked up almost 6.5 million streams on the group\u2019s Spotify<\/a> alone. Childers ended the night with what The Boot<\/a>called an \u201cepic, show-stopping jam session\u201d, calling on Town Mountain guitarist\/vocalist Robert Greer and Robert Earl Keen to join him in performing Keen\u2019s classic, \u201cThe Road Goes On Forever\u201d.<\/div>\n

Town Mountain recently wrapped up 2019 with one final run that included a two-night stint at Nashville\u2019s beloved Station Inn; the band invited a handful of surprise guests to join them on stage, including Grammy award-winning songwriter Jim Lauderdale, dobro legend Jerry Douglas, and hailed bluegrass flatpicker<\/div>\n

Returning to the road in 2020, the band will tour the East Coast and are set to perform at Squaw Valley\u2019s WinterWonderGrass in late March.<\/div>\n

About Town Mountain:<\/div>\n
Town Mountain is comprised of Jesse Langlais (banjo\/vocals), Phil Barker (mandolin\/vocals), Robert Greer (guitar\/vocals), Bobby Britt (fiddle), and Zach Smith (bass). Since releasing their debut album Original Bluegrass and Roots Country in 2007, Town Mountain have made a name for themselves in bluegrass, country, and Americana circuits, and have amassed a sizable discography. They’ve toured with the who’s who of roots musicians, including Ralph Stanley and His Clinch Mountain Boys, the Del McCoury Band, Greensky Bluegrass, Yonder Mountain String Band, and many others. In 2016, Town Mountain made their Grand Ole Opry debut, performing both at the Opry House and at the famed Ryman Auditorium.
