You know folks I have been studying Country Music almost my whole life
\nand I am still young…I’m only 41. I’m not the greatest or most knowledgeable
\nIt’s history but I certainly know my fair share for being so young.
\nI get criticized about my opinions and from people that know more than me.<\/p>\n

One reason I started this website is because I wanted to give credit and
\nremember the “Underdogs” of Country Music. The ones that are forgotten
\nunder appreciated or just not even known about.<\/p>\n

One of those people is fiddle player Earl White.
\nIn 2005 Earl celebrated his 50th year on the Opry as part
\nof the Opry Squaredancers. And he played on the Opry
\nfor 59 years.<\/p>\n

March 1st 1936 he was born in Hardin County Tennessee. He grew up
\nwith the talent of the Fiddle around seven and by the age of eighteen he was
\nplaying with Marty Robbins.<\/p>\n

He and his Sister got to play a few songs with Lester Flatt and Earl Scruggs.
\nUpon which Lester Flatt told his father “Mr. White one of these days your’e
\ngoing to loose your boy”.<\/p>\n

After School he moved to Nashville to get into the business and attend
\ntrade school.
\nHe performed a few times with Ernie Ashworth who performed then as
\nBilly Worth and wrote his most well known songs.
\nHe missed a chance to play for the Drifting Cowboys with Don Helms
\nas they began backing Ray Price after the monumental rift in the industry
\ncreated by the death of one of it’s first superstars..Hank Williams.
\nHe couldn’t get the union clearance and they left without him.<\/p>\n

In 1955 he began playing with Marty Robbins, however it was
\nshort lived because Marty went pop country with songs like
\n“White Sportcoat And A Pink Carnation”. Those songs did not require
\na Fiddle player.
\nDuring his time with Marty he played on the Opry for the first time ever.<\/p>\n

After that he worked for Hawkshaw Hawkins and Jean Shepard, Faron Young
\nand more.
\nIn 1963 when Hawkshaw and Cowboy Copas were killed in that
\nhistorical plane crash (With Patsy Cline) he decided to retire form
\ntouring.<\/p>\n

In the 1970’s he played with some bluegrass bands and began playing
\nfor the Opry Squaredance band.
\nThey come out on each night’s segment of the Opry and play and
\ndance for us, and have for almost the entire 75 years of it’s
\nduration.<\/p>\n

He was described on FaceBook as:
\nMore than a footnote. He was the real deal…A Christian man
\nnever got the recognition he deserved in this industry, but who
\ncontinued to play BECAUSE HE LOVED THE MUSIC.<\/p>\n

He died in the morning of August 7th services are not
