Each day is wildly different from the last. It\u2019s hard to keep up with the changing protocols, closures and cancellations \u2014 and it\u2019s even more difficult to wrap our heads around how quickly COVID-19 is spreading, affecting lives, and what can be done.<\/p>\n

The last few weeks have been hard. \u00a018 days ago, Tornados ravaged our city and state.\u00a0 I spent the next 7 days planning a fundraising concert,\u00a0To Nashville With Love<\/a>, which raised $500,000. \u00a06 days later, my businesses, Exit\/In and Hurry Back voluntarily\u00a0closed in an effort to promote social distancing, amid the covid-19 crisis.\u00a0 We’ve been closed 5 days – its been a week of emotional ups and downs – feeling hopeful one minute, and hopeless the next. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

All hourly and tip based employees are out of work.\u00a0 Sunday they had jobs, and Monday they didn’t.\u00a0No time to prepare.\u00a0For us, this is roughly 30 people, some of whom have been a part of our work family for years.\u00a0It’s really hard and they really need help. \u00a0<\/span>

The business needs your help too.\u00a0My number 1 priority right now is to make payroll every two weeks and not layoff our 5 salaried employees.\u00a0These people are the heart and soul of Exit\/In – they work long hours week in and week out to bring live music to Nashville. While our typical revenue streams have dropped to zero, we’re working hard to keep a little money coming in so payroll can be met. \u00a0<\/span>
