<\/p>\n\n\nBy announcing the O.C.M.S. Big Iron World Tour, aptly named after a combination of their first two albums, released in 2004, and 2006 that were studio albums. during this tour the band will be performing both albums in their entirety.\u00a0<\/p>\n
There is a 2001 release called “Eutaw” ,which was independently released under a label called Blood Donor Records. They went through many years of playing in local clubs, and single handedly built a following implementing an old worn out forgotten idea: using talent.<\/p>\n
The band became a local fixture much like many of the other bands that inspired me to begin this website such as BR5-49, and also the long list of the touring bands that frequented Nashville, like The Old 97’s, The Bottle Rockets and so many others that were basically all types of genres.<\/p>\n
But one thing that nobody mentions about the band in my opinion is the fact that despite this band having an ever revolving lineup, they remain relevant and actually stronger now than they have ever been. This band is very much like other bands to me in the respect that I enjoy all of their lineups and members like Charlie Worsham, who performs as a member from time to time.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Talent. I want to discuss talent with you from a music fan. All of these guys play so many different things and they perform all of their different songs in so many ways because of that ability. Listen to their LIVE recording of “Wagon Wheel” at the Ryman. Listen to that rolling piano through the entire song,THAT\u00a0 IS feeling. Soul.\u00a0<\/p>\n
This band exemplifies what true Country Music is…along with all of the many other types of music this band is. When you see Ketch raise that fiddle bow up in the air, I know darn well he is looking up at Roy Acuff.\u00a0<\/p>\n
I will always say that “Wagon Wheel” is a beautiful song and when performed by Old Crow Medicine Show at the Ryman it is soul crushing. But to hear it down at the Station Inn where it started?\u00a0 TAKE MY MONEY!<\/p>\n
