For so many years of wonderful shows at the plethora of festivals under your belt at the moment. Y’all have been instrumental (literally) in the long list of bands that helped me become who I am not only as a music fan, but also a journalist. I just kind of float around the music business and do my own thing on here, and it ended up making me a good chunk of change that enabled me to inject it right back into the music.

This band has had a few lineup changes but they have remained a staple on the Texas Music community and survived as a touring band as well for many years, and every member of the band has been friends with us all for over a decade now. I am sure I speak for many when I say my thanks for all of these years of shows and music.

I spent the last twenty years writing about, supporting and researching bands like this one all across America. I myself found them about 2015 on Youtube videos and my first time seeing them live was Muddy Roots, and I have remained a fan ever since. And let me publicly say that the very moment this band ever re surfaces in any lineup, I shall be on it to bring it to you.

Yesterday on their social media the band released a statement saying they were going to go on a hiatus like many bands do , and I have included the press release here:

To all our loved ones and fans:

If you’ve known us for a while, you’ll know that the past couple of years have really put us in RBSB through some rough times. There’s been a lot of changes and a lot of unforseen circumstances. Because of this, as a collective group, the best choice for us right now is to take a break. Unfortunately, this means we will not be going on the tour that was previously planned. We apologize to everyone who was looking forward to seeing us, we wanted to see you! But right now this decision is the best as we figure out next steps in moving forward.

We’ve been working as a DIY band for over a decade – right now the circumstances of our daily lives outside of the band have to take precedence. We have a few more shows we will be playing this November, and after that we will be taking a breath and figuring out the next steps into the future. We love all of y’all and cannot believe how lucky we’ve been to share these crazy 14 years of love and music together. And the music ain’t over, it just needs some time to take a breath and make plans for the future.
