I have got to make a few posts like this one in the future to approach a boundary I used to have with myself on here to not spend any time talking about music or people or views I don’t agree with. Now with that being said, I am a huge 90’s Country Music fan, and I am a savant of several specific periods of Country Music like it.
I grew up and I deeply know this entire catalog of bands and artists that were poor attempts to be pushed as vital artists in their own right, and not acknowledged strictly as songwriters, like Skip Ewing and Radney Foster. I know every band, every musician and who did what…and I did not like Tim McGraw. Ever. not one bit. I considered him to be pop country. But you know what?
He paid his damn dues. He toured and played in dive bars endlessly in his day, and anybody that wants to discredit him on that is mistaken. And much like Eric Church who I also do not like his music, I have some WICKED respect for them both for giving the bands I DO LIKE a chance too. I see you guys, and ACTIONS speak loud.
About a week ago I posted some information about them signing with MCA and by GOD this is another HUGE STEP in their direction up, and I cannot think of a better band for it to have been bestowed upon, can you ? I mean 49 Winchester has also been burning up the roads and smaller honky tonks for years, I am ready to hear them in stadiums, like what Buckeye does!
