Dear Healing Appalachia Family,
For years, this festival has been more than music. It has been a living example of what is possible when recovery, hope, and community come together to create real impact across Appalachia.
Today, we want to share an important update regarding Healing Appalachia.
After careful consideration, Healing Appalachia 2026 will not move forward as planned. Current economic conditions and the rising costs of large-scale festival production compel Hope in the Hills to redirect resources to the recovery programs at the heart of our mission.
Healing Appalachia will return:
September 10 to 11, 2027
Boyd County Fairgrounds
Ashland, Kentucky
Although the festival is paused for this year, the need for investment in recovery is not.
Thank you to the artists, fans, partners, donors, and communities who continue to stand behind our mission.
By the close of 2026, with your support, Hope in the Hills plans to surpass 2 million dollars invested in recovery programs across Appalachia.
