I have always tried my best to maintain my website news articles as frequently as I can, and there have been times of my life where I had to step back and take care of some personal issues. Now, as the year turns I have to take care of some health issues. We all have them and many of you reading this have your own hurdles that you use music to help, like I do. I use the therapy of music to deal with almost all of my issues I have.

This year has been a lot of ups and downs with the heat, and that bore a lot of weight on many of my decisions regarding things I attend yearly like Muddy Roots Music Festival and the Buckeye Country Superfest in Ohio. I more than likely would have attended them both had it not been 100 and F You outside. True, it was indeed hot when we attended in 2024, but that is how I learned my lesson to not go in heat.

I have a huge list of yearly festival dates and info that I publish each year, and I spend an awful lot of time researching all of this information from festivals all over the country. All across the nation I look up and research all of the different festivals that I feature on the list, and I personally know the directors and organizers of all of them. Many of them I have personally attended and still do today, in fact my entire house is a museum of all of these that still operate today and about a hundred that no longer transpire.

The cancellation of Healing Appalachia was a wise choice this year because of the weather and the saturation of the market now, and I hope with all my heart in 2027 that they return in all their glory. Because addicts like me that are in recovery NEED brands like this to step up and give US an avenue where we can pitch in and help THEM help ACTIVE addicts. VERY important to me because addicts in recovery are still addicts.

Dolly Parton. We all loved her and we all miss her, this world sucks ass without her. I do not think she would have agreed with the airport decision they made, and I wrote about that. I for one am O.K. with it, it does not trigger me in any way. But it is sad to know that more people dig into her music now that she is gone.

Then there was the mighty Pickathon, where Steve Earle and the Travelin’ McCourys got back together for four songs. Like I previously said, I actually follow and become involved with all of the festivals on my list, in any way I possibly can. Now as everyone knows with social media you can find all of that on here. However, this was a planned event organized in advance for us. The fans. And for sales. Because what’s wrong with spending money on the music I love?

There was a LOT MORE and if you keep on checking on here you will find some really amazing music that I enjoy and I hope you do too. I went to the Opry to see Sunny Sweeney and John Conlee, Chuck Mead, and many more. I went to the Spring Campout for a day before Muddy Roots, that was really fun.

I do believe I might make a 2026 year in review for me, but I am not entirely sure how much time I will have after this 4 day binge that I am currently on. So why don’t you mosey on off this page, click HOME and browse through what we have so far?
