Crockett

This article was made simply because I was elated to see that bands are once again performing shows at the back room of the Nashville Palace again. In the past twenty years, I have had the opportunity to see some fantastic artists there. The Palace back room is not very big, and it only holds a few hundred, but Charley sold it out FAST tomorrow night!

Right now, he is the hardest working, hardest hitting Country artist as a male right in the circuit, I firmly believe he deserves every accolade he receives as a result of that hard work. For the females I think that is Sierra Ferrell, both of these people are out there busting their asses for what they achieve.

Tomorrow night he is releasing the second part of his “Sagebrush Trilogy”, as he picks up right where he left off, and trust me he does not hold back on quality as well as quantity. In the last 10 years, he has released 17 albums total, and his catalogue grows exponentially by the day. When this man plays a show, you never know WHAT album he will pull a song from.

Many of these artists that are gaining momentum lately are sober and working HARD on the road. However, Charley Crockett is ready for arena slots now, and last year at Buckeye Country when we wrote about 2024, he proved that to me as a fan and a journalist. But what REALLY appeals to me is that he has recently brought all of his management in house and stays away from third party firms.

August and September, he will be doing some arena dates with Leon Bridges “Crooner And the Cowboy Tour”. And I think this will indeed propel him into 2026 with a bunch of arena dates of his own, and it will be HIS turn to help smaller acts with arena spots like Jesse Daniel and Benjamin Todd. This young man is steamrolling his way into superstardom.

Just like the days of old when you had dynamite producer/artist teams like Garth Fundis, who made Don Williams and Billy Sherrill who we all know was responsible for a lot of Outlaw Country and 70s and 80s banger albums by the then rising stars like John Anderson and Clint Black. The team of Shooter Jennings and Charley is culminating into one of the most powerful immovable objects in Country Music now.
