I try my absolute best to gather as many shows in my area as I can, along with news and festivals. I have one of dates for over 200 of them HERE, and I will soon be launching one with all of the lineups for each one in one article. See, this way my readers can choose from many festivals all in one place. I just recently spent a few days in Florida with Joshua, and I will spend some time dwelling on those soon as well.
How many of the ( now bigger names ) have I used to write articles about? MANY. Many of the people like Tyler Childers, and Sturgill Simpson I used to pay 25 bucks for, and I wrote about their shows then. And you can damn sure bet that I will continue to write about them.
I will continue to update this ongoing article as often as I find new shows in my area, in the same year. As this year draws to a close, and I see some for 2025, I’ll carry it into that. There are some various shows in Alabama and other close places I include on here.
Folks, I implore each and every one of you to go out and support local venues. Go out and experience the thrill of the lowering of the house lights. The pounding of the kick drum and a perfectly matched up bass player. Go out and buy food from the venue and some merch, and trust me your money goes a LONGER WAY on this level than it does on some national act with 6 dollar waters.
You know something though? I guess we pump time and money into these bands so they can get to the level of playing arenas….where they sell 6 dollar waters. Ironic, isn’t it?\
