For the last few years now my website has covered this event each time. I have some prior engagements that weekend, and I cannot attend this year, but I Wanted to share some information about it with you in case one of you wanted to check into going, which I strongly urge you all to do so. Not only is this a top notch venue with an amazing staff and sound crew, this is an important ongoing music series.

In 2002 Todd Mayo, “As we begin our second decade on PBS, we look forward to The Caverns Sessions continuing to shine a light in the darkness on the full spectrum of music,” says Todd Mayo, The Caverns owner and co-founder of Todd Squared, LLC which produced the Emmy award-winning Bluegrass Underground for 10 years. He has contributed so much to local music and he has brought many bands on to be televised and exposed to the world.

I myself as an avid music collector and a fan, have in the past attended this event three or four times. One of my favorite past shows was Shooter Jennings and Adia Victoria, Asleep At The Wheel and others. In the past, there are so many I could name that I enjoyed on this show.  The list is endless of videos that I have watched on this series, and this is basically how it works:

What they do is film four half hour episodes each night, and you get to see all four episodes being filmed in one night. These filmed episodes will begin to air on September 10th 2024. To be honest, even though they basically rebranded this series, they still heavily honor this series history.  Speaking of history, it only seems fitting that they would include Elizabeth Cook, because in my opinion, she is one the Americana ( or as I consider it Alt – Country ) OG’s.

One of the up and coming bands of the independent circuit is none other than Shane Smith And The Saints. right now, they are well on their way of headlining their own Ryman show. Most of these festivals that are popping out of the woodwork lately are featuring all of these up and coming big bangers, and we have an extensive 300 long list of 2024 festival dates.
