On my Christmas break and my year end closing projects, I am also keeping my eyes on the start of 2024, like the annual Opry At The Ryman. Take a little time to mosey around this website with your new Christmas phone or computer. We have articles on many previous shows in the last six months, we got TOP 50 albums coming, a list of essential albums of 2023, over 300 festival dates for 2024 AND MORE.
The Opry is still a vital institution for Country Music and many other genres that exist right now, and the Ryman is still a beloved venue to go see a live show at. So many of the bands and artists I feature on here annually play the venue each year. That’s why it is really special to venture down there and witness the big show on the big stage.
A while ago, I published an article about how the Opry has become so much better in the past couple of years on welcoming artists that are playing the better underground Country Music. However, I could not believe that it look this long to invite her to play it, Lucinda Williams is one of the Legends of the alt – country movement.

Since I last wrote the most recent Opry article, they have made a few more additional things to embellish the type of Country I enjoy, as well as Bluegrass and others. As they continue to evolve in many directions, they finally stopped trying to TOTALLY market Pop Country acts, and focus on a more broad spectrum.

Why not head down there this weekend, where you can see Gabe Lee, The Malpass Brothers, Don Schlitz, The Shootouts and MORE!
