The SteelDrivers have a storied history of performing in Tennessee caves. Since 2008, they have kept an almost annual tradition of playing underground, an exception being a show above The Caverns during the pandemic. The hard-driving bluegrass group stands out as the band with the highest number of cave concerts under their belt. Now, The SteelDrivers return to their roots, marking their incredible milestone with a 2-night residency inside The Caverns.

One of the many Legendary Bluegrass bands that exist in today’s community, they have greatly influenced me in my own life much like The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band. Both of these bands delved into different genres of music through their albums, and their roster of band members have been ever changing.  The only thing that stopped them from being more solid than they already are is the time span between albums, and lack of albums therein.

What I will say about them, is that this band has a quality over quantity thing going on here, and all of their albums are absolute fire, instead of having some mediocre albums shoved into the mix.  Especially with having a new lead singer replace Chris Stapleton, whom left after their second album and was replaced by Gary Nichols, and he was replaced by kelvin Damrell….who was replaced by Matt Dame.

To make the event even more special 16-year-old Jake Kohn will open the evening. This rising Americana songwriter from Winchester, Virginia has talent far beyond his years and is not to be missed!

Some VERY reputable friends within the music realms have strongly suggested this young man’s music to me, and I’m so behind on things right now, I plan to spend a week’s vacation catching up on all things musical. So you need to keep your eyes peeled on more news regarding this young man!

Don’t miss your chance to be part of this under-worldly musical experience. Our on-site campground will be open.
