Albums Include ‘The Songs I Love,’ ‘I’m Gonna Dance With The Ones That Brought Me,’ ‘Resurgence,’ ‘Live At The Fox,’ and ‘Somebody Hold Me’NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Country music hitmaker Ronnie McDowell will reissue five of his legendary albums on February 17 as part of his multi-year deal with Time Life. For the first time ever, these classic albums will be available on all digital platforms and include ‘Live At The Fox,’ ‘I’m Gonna Dance With The Ones That Brought Me,’ ‘The Songs I Love,’ ‘Somebody Hold Me,’ and ‘Resurgence’. With a career spanning nearly five decades and over 30 charted singles, Ronnie McDowell shows no signs of slowing down. In addition to his ongoing partnership with Time Life, McDowell continues to tour the United States and around the world!

“I am so happy to be working with the folks at Time Life with reissuing these albums digitally for the first time ever,” shares McDowell. “Fans from all over the world are constantly asking about these albums, and now they can listen to them anywhere at any time! I hope you are excited about this as I am!”

Since his breakout tribute to Elvis Presley, “The King is Gone” took the world by storm, Ronnie McDowell has charted more than thirty Top 40 hits on the Billboard country music charts. Two of his singles, “Older Women” and “You’re Gonna Ruin My Bad Reputation,” reached No. 1 on the country charts. He has also released more than twenty studio albums.

I have been a huge fan of his for many years now, and every chance I get to see him, I do. I have few of his paintings in my home full of Country Music memorabilia, and I have many of his albums in my vinyl collection. His live shows are hilarious and entertaining with stories so wild there is NO WAY you can make this shit up!

Time Life usually does an awesome job of remastering many of these long lost albums, and when they do this, I like to purchase additional albums or whatever form I buy it on. Now, some of these albums aren’t as old as many of the releases from other artists. Also, some of those titles are hard to find on any format, let alone digital.

I’m Going To Dance With The Ones That Brought Me is a Rockabilly album with songs like “Rockin Little Angel” and “Right Were You Want Me” This album brings forth his upbringing from the rock and roll sock hop era, and it highlights his love and admiration for this period of time, when life was so much simpler and music was pure.

‘Somebody Hold Me” is one of my favorite songs he does, and one of my favorite Country songs of all time, and the fact that many don’t even recognize this song is shameful. It is one of the greatest ex lover at their former lover’s wedding songs you’ll ever come across. The steel guitar, the timing and the way he delivers the lyrics make this song just pure gold. The other high point on this album is “Ten White Cadillacs”, which was a song about John Lennon, who was killed on December 8th, 1980. It changes to Roy Orbison and Elvis as well, showing us who his heroes are.
