Right now, there are more Country Music Legends that are passed on than we have left into our entertainment world here. The Opry still has quite an abundant array of classic Country stars grace it’s stage right now. One of those such names that continue to perform is comedian/writer/producer Ray Stevens.
Not only is he an award winning songwriter and a new member of the Country Music Hall Of Fame , he is a proud, contributing member of the Opry. I am quite sure that he will appear on the Opry with his classic comedy songs like The Mississippi Squirrel Revival.
Now, his current diner theater that he built a few years back, and it also hosts other artists as well. I am actually quite hopeful that he will indeed make some new albums for us to enjoy, and he will continue to embellish the Country Music world.
All of you know for a fact that I am a history nerd, and I really hold people like Ray Stevens VERY dear to my heart.
“I plan to stop performing regularly at my CabaRay Showroom here in Nashville at the end of 2024,” Stevens says in a statement. “I’ll be going to work every day in my recording studio and maybe I’ll do a few, a very few, shows in some old familiar places.
