This past August 2018, Country Legend Mr. Charley Pride was one of five people that were recognized by the Mississippi Arts And Entertainment Museum. It has been reported that he will be releasing another all new album in 2019, is VERY healthy and remains VERY active.
He will be playing the Carson Center in Paducah Kentucky this year in addition to many Opry performances. Pride, 84, was born into a family of sharecroppers in Sledge. His chart-topping hits include “Kiss an Angel Good Morning” and “(Is Anybody Going to) San Antone,” winning him three Grammy Awards. He was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 2000.
