It’s Not A Hootenanny Without Friends!
Old Crow Medicine Show Welcomes Special Guests Joshua Hedley, Town Mountain and Willie Watson to Join Their Hootenanny at The Caverns Amphitheater Grand Opening
Before I list all of the information from the press release here, I wanted to share a few thoughts myself on behalf of the venue and other shows that are being advertised here. I had the opportunity recently to see the field and the stage behind “above if that’s what you consider it” the cave itself, and it is amazing!
I am extremely excited about this particular show here for one main reason…they just announced Mr. Willie Watson. As you may or not know, there is a truly amazing history between him and Old Crow Medicine Show. He was one of the original members of this band that has an ever changing list of members. Each and every one of the current and past members brought a special talent to the sound of this band.
The last album that Mr. Willie Watson appears on is one of my favorite albums of their called “Carry Me Back”, and the song “Levi” is one of the best ones on that album for sure. One of the more overlooked songs in their catalog is the song called “Sewanee Mountain Catfight”.
I haven’t had the pleasure to run into the guys from Town Mountain for some time now, but I have had the chance to cover their set in the past at many festivals.
Even though I haven’t heard a new album from them in a few years, they remain relevant and fresh through their rigorous tour schedule.
I’m going to be talking heavily about the man leftover here by the name of Mr. Joshua Hedley. He recently released his second album on New West Records called “Neon Blue”. As of this particular time here, I do not have the article written yet, I am still in the absorbing stages of the entire album. I will return here and embed the link in this article.
