My dear friends it is time once again to share with you some of the information that I have for the Spring
Awakening from my dear friends over at Waterloo Falls. The couple that owns this venue have worked for many years very hard on the property, and many years of court deals, politics and legal schmegals. They have overcome a LOT of hurdles in this race, and this venue deserves to be admired by us all for the music they provide us to escape to.
So now let’s talk about an aspect of music shows you may or may not understand even happens, and that is the pen and paper side of the music business. Let me tell you that I have been studying ALL aspects of music for the past 20 years. Graphs and statistics, marketing and target demographic.
ANYONE who says it’s not about maintaining stability through a profit is a fool…and a fool and their money are soon parted! You have to pay the light bill and the band. The venue has every right to make profit and the band does too, and that’s why there needs to be music fans like US to fund these entities and continue our passion.
When I run across people like Mr. Jason and Mr. Nathan who both go out of their way to fund it all on their own dime, I FULLY step up and support that. I cannot tell you how many years I KNOW he lost money and hosted a KICK ASS event, sparing no expense. ..but things happen, and when they do, people need to understand. And I know MANY festival organizers that legitimately care about art over profit…
After you read this article, you will easily ascertain the immense work and volunteers that help put these shows on, and the venue also does weddings and such, you can contact them on the information below. There is a big piece of news that I wanted to share with all of you, and that is a huge property expansion on the property that will give us more room to camp on!
Now, with that expansion comes overhead. Your ticket price goes toward mowing and yardwork, property taxes, and all of the fun jobs that coincide with more land. When they first bought the property, I wrote about their new venture and now look at what they have done out there!
Recently on their social media accounts they announced a big acquisition of the adjacent 43 acres on the other side of the entry road, which is going to provide some RV parking and more camping area, and that is going to make this a class A venue in my book. The sound is exceptional, pavilion is built very beautifully and the access to the falls is still there.
Volunteers work night and day to keep the garbage clean and bathrooms useable for me and you to enjoy these wonderful bands on this bill here. Please consider tipping servers and bar staff, even the merchandise manager works very hard for us to have an enjoyable evening.
I am going to include all the links for the pre order T shirt deals and tickets for the event itself. The T shirt will be pre order and you will receive it when you arrive at the venue. Here is my favorite part of the article and that is the bands! I haven’t had the opportunity to catch many of these bands in quite some time now.
My main focus on this entire website is to share all of the music I love with you in hopes that you will agree with me and buy the music I love. You get a really stacked lineup for the ticket price here and you can sure bet there will indeed be food vendors on site for us. So, in order to share all of the wonderful bands you will see here is a spotify playlist of someone else’s I did not create.
I LOVE BLACK TARPOON and I am going to be 100 amped up to see my friends from Texas along with all the rest of the bands on this bill…but I love my Black Tarpoon. This is going to be a spring of fun with The Hooten Hallers who have a great new album out from last year and Black Tarpoon just put some of their old albums on vinyl re issue!

I have some many great memories and stories about all of these bands being shared here, like the time Joseph Huber played “Can’t You See The Flood A Coming” and it started to pour on us. There is indeed one band I haven’t seen live yet, and that is Kitty Dearing and the Dagnabbits and I am excited to bring that set into this article when I write it here.
Most of these bands have been featured on here more than once, and I am really looking forward to going out there and seeing all of the new additions and seeing some old friends that I haven’t seen in many years now. So many wonderful bands here that are being featured, and I will be right up front featuring all of it!
