Whiskey Myers is a group that takes influences from southern rock and red dirt music. They’re out of Palestine, TX and have been around since 2007. Their unique sound bridges hallmarks of southern rock and red dirt country. Whiskey Myers is an excellent addition to the Tumbleweed 2019 lineup.
Their last album was 2016’s Mud which was produced by Dave Cobb. The album featured fan favorites “Lightning Bugs and Rain” and “Stone”. There is also a collaboration with Brent Cobb called “Good Ole Days”. That album peaked at #4 on the US Country Charts and was a major success.
The band experienced success elsewhere with the 2014 album Early Morning Shakes. That album featured fan favorite tracks “Early Morning Shakes”, “Home” and “Wild Baby Shake Me”. Before Early Morning Shakes the band released their debut LP titled Firewater. It contains the mega hits “Bar, Guitar and a Honky Tonk Crowd”, “Ballad Of A Southern Man” and “Broken Window Serenade”.
Whiskey Myers received a major boost in exposure recently when their track “Stone” was featured in the Paramount Network television series “Yellowstone”. After the episode aired, all three albums reached the Top 10 on the iTunes Country Chart. The most recent record Mud reached #1 on that chart. In other news, fans can be on the lookout for new music from the band as they have been in the studio recently. There is currently no time frame set for this release. Maybe we will get a taste of their next record sometime before Tumbleweed 2019.
