I like to scold the masses of “Country” fans that vehemently proclaim how much they miss Country Music being gone. Ummmm… Gene Watson dropped an all new album last year, I didn’t see you celebrating that? The Opry has been revitalizing their ranks with a plethora of REAL Country stars now, and inviting so many of “our” bands lately that it’s once again becoming a pinnacle of history.

Three of the favorite male Legends around today that I personally enjoy more than any are Gene Watson, Moe Bandy and this man Mr. Johnny Lee. I mean I GREW UP with the Urban Cowboy movie and all of those Country Music movies like Clint Eastwood and Burt Reynolds made. I have all of those soundtrack albums, and I still listen to them, and I enjoy all of those hit songs BUT……

Guys, let’s face it…..people like Johnny Lee have so many songs that are considered “filler” songs, that were actually better than some of the well known songs ( at least in my opinion ). See THAT IS why I like vinyl. You can STUDY these songs on the vinyl jacket, yeah digital is cool but it’s not PERSONAL enough to TRULY delve into unknown music like this.

I so do not believe he will never record again…but as for the road, he has announced the end. i also do not believe he won’t pop on Texas Music Scene videos and other media outlets live. He actually is still in very good singing condition, and still sounds top notch, and he loves his fans.
