Right now one of the many main focus points of this website are the 2025 festival forecast , and it looks even more amazing than I had hoped for! Back when Muddy Roots first came about, and Farmageddon Fest were just starting a side from OG fests like ROMP there were not the amount of festivals that there are currently today. However, with growth also comes over saturation. I’m not sure what happened here, but here is the lowdown.

As you know,we cover over 250 festivals on 2 different threads. One is all posters while the other is all links to buy tickets and look at the dates in numerical order. I will link them both here so you can go into those and find out about underground DIY festivals in your area.
I spend a lot of time during the week to dig around and look for these festivals as I see them advertise in groups and the like. Through the years I have indeed found a ling long list of the many festivals in our realm of music.
Here is the article with all posters.
Here is the numerical ticket guide
So yeah, there is a gaggle of information on here about all of them. Now then with all of that being said with growth comes saturation and with that comes some of them not being able to survive..or in this case put on pause. True, many of them do indeed cease to exist using this as a goodbye.
Lone Star Jam has been one of the premiere festivals for Red Dirt for many years and this announcement comes from me with a heavy heart, even though I have not had the opportunity to come to it before this. I’m not necessarily sure exactly what caused this to transpire, but it truly is ad to see.
There are so many different factors that could have caused this, but one thing I have noticed especially with that Red Dirt scene is that the amount of new festivals popping up is an alarmingly high rate. And I believe that they are indeed devouring one another, because if you know anything about business…your average ticket buyer cannot afford more than one major festival per year.
Majority of your mainstream music people aren’t loyal to brands or artists, they are loyal to songs and fads. That issue right there is the absolute worst above all else that I find wrong with the festival market.
