A LOT of people that collect vinyls love getting into the live series of recordings like the New West Records versions of Live from Austin Texas.Well, this series recorded Live at Billy Bob’s In Texas is one of them as well. In 2018 it marked it’s 20th year of iconic recordings, and here just recently Mr. Josh Ward recorded the 50th album in the series. Also recording this past year was Shooter Jennings, and one yet to be announced in the fall.
Artists who have participated in the series range from national country music stars like Tanya Tucker, Roy Clark, T. Graham Brown, Exile, Johnny Lee, Larry Gatlin & The Gatlin Brothers, Collin Raye, Mark Wills, Lynn Anderson, Joe Diffie, Janie Fricke, Earl Thomas Conley, Eddy Raven, Michael Martin Murphey, Doug Stone, T.G. Sheppardand John Conlee to the biggest names on the Texas music scene including Cross Canadian Ragweed, Jack Ingram, Jason Boland & the Stragglers, Kevin Fowler, Wade Bowen, Randy Rogers Band, Stoney LaRue, Charlie Robison and more.
Actually David Allan Coe recorded TWO Live at Billy Bob’s records, and the first one is more of my personal favorite than the latter one. I’m quite sure that the venue has NO plans to stop recording, and I have NO plans to stop buying them.
