The Del McCoury Band is one that I have covered many times this year. I covered them in Nashville with the Traveling McCourys at 3rd And Lindsley this past Winter, and they put on a REALLY terrific show there. They brought out Mr. Sam Bush and Mr. Billy Strings, and played ONE HELL of a jam session for us there.
I traveled down to Atlanta to see the band play the iconic venue The Terminal West. That was another concert that was beyond amazing in every way. Note for note and song for song this band is on top of their game every time they step out on that stage.
He celebrated his birthday at the Grand Ole Opry just recently, and we published a great article about that. You can read more about that HERE. I cover around 200 festivals a year, and his band has been placed upon many of the festivals whether they are Bluegrass or Americana.
This November join them as they grace the stage of The Caverns where they film Bluegrass Underground television series. This will be a truly historic occasion if you are a did hard Del McCoury fan!
